Rest and P.S
October 7, 2008After an exhausting bar month, two weeks of no-parents, two weeks trying-to-be-head-of-the-family, month long office workload, among others, I have finally had my “free” weekend. After finally meeting up with Winston (missed you, dude!), went home to Laguna to do all the weekend errands, distribute staff salary, collect shop funds, among others. Then just did my series marathon!!! Special thanks to Argyle and the Grey’s anatomy (season 4 and 5), What happens in Vegas and Knocked Up, I had just enough time to unwind the whole of saturday, except for some breaks when I had to do what I have to as person-in-charge. Grabe! Ang sarap ng ganung buhay! Nothing to worry about, at least for the time being.
As post script, I specially like that first episode of Season 5 of Grey’s Anatomy where Cristina and Meredith manifested what true friendship is—having to accept your best friend’s faults and being able to bear even the most terrible things your friend has caused you. True! Also, I loved that episode when a known figure of Cardioforensics sought the help of SGH in a heart bypass and gave his affirmation of George. “Learning is like healing, it happens over time.” I second the motion! Thus, we are not really to be blamed if we learn in a slow pace, or it takes time for us to realize or know of something. It happens over time. Another episode which touched me the most is that episode of a woman with a certain brain tumor subjected to a clinical project by Meredith and Derek. There I realized that at one point in our lives, we live with our own tales, sometimes depend our very lives on them. And when we are banged on the head, suddenly realizing they are mere illusions, a happily-ever-after we have created ourselves, our very world crashes. “We’ll be dazed of what we had at the end of the day, wondering what the hell made us hold it together.” Then, in the instant, they vanish, our spirit grapples. But who can determine for certain that what we have is a mere fairy tale, a creation of the mind? Nobody but us. Because at the end of the day, it is us who will suffer– our spirit crashed, our morale broken and our heart torn. What matters, anyway, is what we learn from it and how we pick ourselves up. Nevertheless, we lived. We may have in one created for us. As for me, I may be right, at the time when everyone else may have lost hope, it may be learned that it was indeed not just a tale. I will wait when I can prove it to them. If in case, I will, myself, have my own world torn down, it is ok. It is worth it. We move mountains with faith.
On a light note (I hope!), finals na!!! then it will be the end of the first semester of the last year (that is a much lighter note!)!!! Getting near the ultimate dream!!!

i love grey’s anatomy! i love the characters, and i definitely love the songs. it’s perhaps the only series that could make me cry season after season, episode after episode. so many words of wisdom, very much applicable to what we’re going through in law school and in life itself.
btw, i’m the friend of mish who chanced upon this site, while googling for civ2 review materials. keep on hangin’…best of luck next sem! =)
